Do you believe that love goes round in a cycle? That the person who once hurt you in any way before would one day come back to you, profess that you're important to him and that he wants to be with you? Its that perverse aint it, that reverse position of deja vu you're feeling in that scenario. Except that you hurt much more than him when you were so into him than when he is into you.

Has words become so superfluous that we use them carelessly, without caring if we create a false impression on our thoughts and feelings? Are we just using our honeyed words like baits to a fish, throwing them around and dwelling in its false illusion. You see, sometimes that's what I feel im doing, the words weighing lesser with each time I say it when I dont necessary mean them. It becomes the norm, the compulsory, the staple choice that most conversations cant do without. We become immuned to the effects of our words, so often and so sparingly we use them. Nice to hear, good to savour, but how much is meant is another thing altogether. We could have fool one another, playing word games, feeding on naiveity and past emotions.

Sometimes after being hurt countless of times, we want to protect ourselves from more pain. We create a mask, of nonchalence, devoid of emotions and we keep them on so long it becomes us. In this bid to save ourselves, we in turn lose ourselves. Is that really what we're doing all these while? Maybe one of these days, I'll lose my soul.
