Read an article by this writer who moved to Singapore to live a few years back. He mentioned, why do Singaporeans demand that the city entertains them. Compared to the past, we have so much more in terms of gadgets, toys, movies, tvs, internet, ktv, pool, beach activities etc. Yet time and again, we find ourselves complaining about how boring life is, ranting about how nice if we were born in countries like America or the western countries. We go on talking about how little life has to offer, constantly searching for some exciting things to do to keep us occupied. Truth is, we're in fact too spoilt for choices. There are simply too many choices to make, which isnt really a good thing since we are hard pressed to find the best of everyone of them. Trouble is, they are never enough. Don't you find it ironic? Yet, that's exactly what we feel. We get bored easily, dissatisfied and complain over the smallest issue. Worse still, some people (you ought to do some self reflection if ure one of them) emphasized too much on their individual rights. Im not saying its wrong to not look after your own self interest. People are selfish by nature (ok most) but still overdoing it will make you public enemy number 1.
I had some nasty callers who were downright unreasonable and who thought they were RIGHT. Unfortunately, what to do, customers are always right. Fortunately, I seriously dont care much. Of course, I dont talk rudely to them. BUT if they are damn annoying (some even talk in this condescending manner of theirs), you must be a saint to take such shit. Luckily, my experiences weren't that bad as compared to one of my colleague. So, if they give you shit, give them twice worse than what they gave, except do it in a way they don't know for certain if revenge is actually being exacted on them. Customer service will always be there, but dont go too far. We have limits too. Ok im digressing quite badly from my original topic. Bad habit of mine, tsk, i'll continue it when im back from tuition.
